Runners will be professional timed by chip timing our walkers will be able to see their time when the cross the finish line, but will not be provided a posted time after the event.

2. Do I need to register my children for the Kid's Fun Run?

Yes, the 1/4 mile Kid's Fun Run is not a timed event, but we do provide t-shirts and medals to all children that participate, hence the registration fee.

3. I missed the registration deadline, may I register the day of the event?

Yes, participants may register online until December 12, 2009 until noon and if you miss that deadline you may register at the event but be prepared to pay a $5.00 late fee (this is for adults and children: Children $20, Adults $30). Individuals may also register at our Pre-Event Pick Up Celebration on December 11, 2009 at the Smart Car Dealership from 6-8 p.m. (Located at 215 W Lancaster Ave
Devon, PA 19333)

4. If I register for the Jingle Bell Run, will I receive a T-shirt?

T-shirts will be provided to the first 1300 participants so make sure you pick up your shirt at the Pre-Event Pick Up Celebration on December 11th at the Smart Car Dealership in Devon between 6-8pm or arrive early at the event on Sunday, doors open at 8:00 am.

5.If I cannot attend and I registered will my t-shirt be mailed to me?

No, the Arthritis Foundation Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter will not be able to afford to mail t-shirts or awards after the event. We ask that you plan to pick up your t-shirt at the Pre-Event Pick Up Celebration or send someone to come to the event for you. We do apologize in advance.

6. May I volunteer at the event and participate in the Jingle Bell Run by walking or running?

Yes, please register online and notify Cheryl Lutz at 215-574-3060 x116 or clutz@arthritis.org so she may select the proper volunteer role that will free you in time to participate.

7. Where do I park?

Parking is limited at the General Wayne Elementary School so we will have volunteer parking attendants to help guide participants to parking locations. These parking locations include the school upper and lower lots, St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church of Delaware Valley parking lot (formerly the VFW) and the parking lot behind the church by the baseball fields. Keep in mind the earlier you arrive the easier it will be to park and then leave the event after everything has been completed.

8. I enjoy walking but I am not certain if I can walk all 3 miles, is there a 1 mile route instead?

Participants that would like to participate but are uncertain about walking 3 miles may walk 1 mile on the adjacent track (4 laps) if so desired.

9. Do I have to fundraise?

No, we do not force anyone to fundraise with us, but we do strongly encourage it. If you do not wish to fundraise that is understandable and we are grateful for your support in helping us spread the awareness message at the event.

10. What is the Costume Contest and how do I participate?

The costume contest is a fun and festive way to give our participants the opportunity to showcase their event spirit. We encourage all of our pasrticipants to dress in costume or festive attire and join our mini-parade of costumes. We have prizes for the best dress adult, child, team and dog. We will have a sign up table at the event to participate in the contest.

The Jingle Bell Run Volunteer Committee does their best to keep the costs for this event low so all proceeds fundraised at the event go back into the community through research, programs and services. We are more successful with the help of our community members and we hope you will join in our efforts to provide more funding to help the more than 3 Million Pennsylvanians living with doctor-diagnosed arthritis in our community!
